PLUM, PA -- Penn Hills quarterback Billy Kisner helped keep the streak going on Friday night.
Kisner ran for 229 yards and added three scores to help the Penn Hills Indians beat the Plum Mustangs for the 14th straight time after a 33-10 win. More than 7,000 fans showed up at Penn Hills High School to watch a game that was part of the 2013 Great American Rivalry presented by the U.S. Army and Hibbett Sports.
Kisner ran for TDs of 88 and 56 yards in the first half then added a 36-yard TD pass to Michael Anthony to be named the Great American Rivalry Series Most Valuable Player.
Shawn Firestone ran 41 yards for a TD to give the Indians a 6-0 lead 45 seconds into the game.
Andrew Soxman ran for 87 yards and scored just the third TD of the season for the Mustangs, who had season highs in both points (10) and rushing yards (206).
Penn Hills has won 23 of the 27 total meetings in the series. Plum has won just one game total in the last three seasons.
Penn Hills (5-2), which has already eclipsed last season's win total, is at Mt. Lebanon next Friday night and Plum (0-7) hosts Upper St. Clair the same night.
