Thousands packed the stands to see one of the best teams in the nation take on their rival when St. Ignatius and St. Edward battled on Halloween. It was a cold and windy day, but that didn't keep over 12,000 fans from supporting their teams.

Immediately after the pre-game Student-Athlete presentations, it was time for business and St. Ignatius became the game's CEO. In the first quarter, the Wildcats scored 14 points on a 50-yard run by eventual MVP Justin Grebenc and a 68-yard pass from Joseph to Myers. It was a 14-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, St. Ignatius remained consistent and continued to dominate, scoring 14 points in the third quarter on a Grebenc run and a Grebenc catch. The Wildcat defense was stout as they shut out St. Edward and celebrated in front of their classmates.

After the game, the St. Ignatius players sang their alma mater and then took a knee, while USMC SSgt Peter Rivera gave a speech congratulating and then encouraging one of the best teams in the nation.
