The Manual Crimsons came into this game having won the past two meetings against cross-town foe the Male Bulldogs. The game-long rain turned the field into a muddy playground and the results were sloppy. Manual and Male combined for an unheard of 12 fumbles, 6 of those resulting in turnovers. At the end of the game the Bulldogs were too much for the Crimsons as they snapped a two-game losing streak in the “Old Rivalry” and took home the Great American Rivalry Series Trophy.
