(Click on photo to view more pictures) Todd Peterson graduated in 1988 as salutatorian and to Valdosta fans is known for kicking the winning 47-yard field goal against Lowndes in 1987. He attended the U.S. Naval Academy and lettered in football in 1988 and ‘89. Todd then transfered to the University of Georgia, where he was named the GTE Academic All-American and led the SEC in field goal percentage that season. Todd went on to play 13 seasons in the NFL before retiring in 2005.
