Bothell-66 Inglemoor-21

October 14, 2012
Great American Rivalry Series

3,975 fans packed a damp, cool, and sometimes windy Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell, WA to watch the annual Spaghetti Bowl pitting the Bothell Cougars against the Inglemoor Vikkings.  These two school are only separated by three miles and it's an intense rivalry.  Bothell received the opening kickoff, marched down the field and scored on a 7-yard touchdown run by Danny Wilson.  A turnover by Inglemoor's punter on their first possession of the game led to another score for Bothell, but Inglemoor showed they weren't going to back down and after converting a 4th and short to keep the drive alive, answered back with a touchdown pass to cut the lead to 14-7.  However, the Cougars offense was just getting into gear and scored two touchdowns before the 1st quarter ended to give Bothell the 28-7 lead.

Both teams continued the offensive onslaught in the 2nd quarter and Bothell led the Vikings 45-21 going in to halftime.

The game was not out of reach yet for the Vikings but they couldn't muster any points on the opening drive of the 2nd half.  The halftime break didn't slow down the Cougars as the eventual game MVP, #49 Danny Wilson scored his 4th touchdown of the game on a 4-yard run.  His 5th touchdown came on an impressive 80-yard run and the final touchdown came on a 4-yard run in the 4th quarter by Devin Fife-Aebischer to give Bothell a 66-21 win over Inglemoor.

Danny Wilson finished the game with more than 400 yards rushing and 5 touchdowns
