He attended Penn State University and late transferred to Wake Forest. His sister Ann Farmer accepted his award Michael Patton - Graham High School Michael was the quarterback of the 1989 State Championship football team and student council president. After graduating from Graham he went on to play football for Virginia Tech and graduated. He then returned to Bluefield where he now works as a certifie financial planner for Raymond James. He is actively involved with the community in the Rotary Club, Sales Executive Club, Graham High School Education Foundation, and the Carlock Pruett Foundation where he has helped raise funds to build a new field house and gymnasium.
