Home » Girls' Soccer NewsGirls Soccer Coming Together as Season ProgressesSeptember 4, 2012 By wes Wattenberger of George Rogers Clark High SchoolKicking off the Season with an 0-4 record, the Ladies Soccer team came out on top of St. Patrick on August 25th by an outstanding 9 goals to none. In their next two games, the Cards lost 2-3 in a close fight against Franklin county, and devoured Pendleton 11-1 for their second win. These scores were major improvements from their first four games of the season. It seems as if the girls are finally rallying together and are becoming more of a threat to their competition. With those two wins, the Lady Cards are now 2-5, with both wins coming from their district. With these wins, GRC is now tied for first in Region with Campbell County who happens to be 6-3. Even with a slow start, the Cards are still on the top of the food chain!
