Tebow-time ends Steelers' hope for Super Bowl

January 9, 2012
By Bryce Stephens of George Rogers Clark High School

The new rules of the league (in overtime) is if you score a TD at any point, the game is over. The other team doesnt get a chance to come back.

Right after the Steelers' kick by Shaun Suisham sailed out of the endzone, the Broncos lined up at the 20-yd line. Demaryius Thomas cut across the middle for what would have only been a 25-yd reception, except for the fact that Thomas threw out a stiffarm to a Steeler's linebacker to run for the touchdown to end the game in overtime. The first play of overtime.

In the span of 11 seconds, Denver shocked Pittsburgh, putting Tim Tebow and his team farther into the playoffs. John Elway, past-quarterback for the Bronc's who kept my Browns from getting the shot at a Super Bowl in the 80's, was very ecstatic on the sidelines afterwards for his prodigee after tebow recovered from the crushing loss to the New England Patriots.

This year at the super bowl, there wont be any "Terrible Towels" waving. Though, hopefully, only lots of cheesehaeds will be in attendance.

Piitsburgh: 23

Denver: 29

Ben Roethlisberger (PIT): 22/40, 289 yds, 1 TD, 1 interception

Isaac Redman (PIT): 17 carries, 121 yds

Tim Tebow (DEN): 10/21, 316 yds, 2 TDs

Demaryius Thomas (DEN): 4 receptions, 204 yds, 1 TD
