Clark County standout runningback Pokey Harris has been named to the Kentucky All-State Third team by the Louisville-Courier Journal.
Harris led the Cards this season with 1,943 yards rushing, just 60 yards off the school record set by Ryan Williams in 2008.
In the first game of the season vs. Corbin, Harris rushed for a school record 286 yards on 17 carries for four touchdowns, and to cap off the night Harris added a 61-yard interception return for touchdown.
In the second game with Montgomery County, Harris had his second consecutive 200 yard rushing performance with 217 yards on 21 carries for four touchdowns.
Against Bryan Station in the third game Harris rushed for 207 yards on 23 carries for two touchdowns.
Harris had the game of his life and maybe the game of the year for any football player in Kentucky when Harris rushed for a new school record 377 yards on 19 carries for four touchdowns against Harlan County.
In 2010 Harris broke another school record twice against Campbell County when Harris had 8 catches for 199 yards with two touchdowns (with touchdown receptions of 65 and 97 yards).
