Home » Girls' Basketball NewsLady Bulldog Season HonorsMay 10, 2012 Grandview Lady Bulldogs BasketballThe Grandview Lady Bulldog's basketball team had some highs and lows during the 2012 season. The girl's experienced some difficult losses on the season, we lost 8 games by 10 points or less. One of the big highlights on the season was playing in the championship game of the Clinton Tournament. Unfortunately we lost to a very good El Dorado Springs team 51-47 to finish 2nd in the tournament. We had several players to receive tournament honors. In the Pleasant Hill Tournament Alex Dobbins and Drea Lesure were selected to the Pleasant Hill All Tournament Team. Alex won an honor for the highest free throw shooting percentage in the tournament as well. In the Clinton Tournament both Alex and Drea were selected to the Clinton All Tournament team. The season came to an abrupt end with a lost to the Clinton Lady Cardinals in district playoffs. A bright spot from the district was Alex Dobbins being selected to the Class 4 District 13 All Tournament team. In losing that game meant the end of the high school career for D'Andria Blow. D'Andria Blow was a varsity co-captain for 3 years of her career at Grandview High School. Dee Dee as she is know by her teammates and friends was very instrumental in the growth and progress of the girl's basketball program. Her hard work, commitment and dedication to the program will be missed. Dee Dee has set the standards for this program by being an example of what hard work and effort should look like. She has represented Grandview School District well. She had a big moment this season versus the Kearney Bulldogs one of our conference opponents. The Grandview Lady Bulldogs had not beaten the Kearney Lady Bulldogs throughout her basketball career well in our final home game with the ball in her hand, Dee Dee hit the game winning shot with 2.4 seconds left in the game. That win was a major win in the life of the Grandview Lady Bulldogs basketball program The Lady Bulldogs were also able to pick a conference win over Platte County Lady Pirates another opponent we had not been able to beat during D'Andria's playing career. Dee Dee you will be missed by everyone involved in the program we want to thank you for your dedication to helping the program be successful.
