Cody Dix pitched 6 strong innings,scattering 5 hits, then Ty Osborne came in and slammed the door shut, as the Red Devils (19-1, 12-1) clinched at least a tie for 1st place with a 4-2 win at Orange tonight.
Matt Roberts smashed towering home run in to tie the game in the 5th inning, then Graham scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th on a Blake Throneburg (4-for-4) single to knock in Shannon Watkins and Ty Osborne (2-for-4) to eke out the win.
Graham left the bases loaded three times.
The Mid-State 2-A Conference Championship will be decided tomorrow night at Zachary Field in Graham. Game time is 7:00 p.m.. |
