Crusaders Slay Red Dvils

Cardinal Gibbons posted wins yesterday over both the softball and baseball teams of Graham. The baseball team lost 2-1, posting their first loss of the season. The softball team lost 4-0, posting their 2nd loss and first conference loss of the season.
In softball, Kayelyn Storey smacked the only extra-base hit with a triple. The Lady Devils (11-2, 8-1), one day after pushing 32 runs across the plate, only managed 2 hits.
In baseball, Geronki Coble scored the lone Red Devil run off of Matt Robert's ground out in the fifth inning. Graham is now 13-1, 5-1. The Red Devils travel to Hillsborough tonight for a make-up game against Cedar Ridge. |
