Red Devils Whips Bulldogs

 In tonight's Mid-State 2-A Conference action, all Graham teams pulled out wins.  The JV boys ended a  4 game losing streak by winning 77-74. The JV's last won on January 1st when they defeated Bartlett Yancey in the 3rd place game of the Eastern Alamance JV tournament.  They have endured 3 weeks of hard knocks and heartbreak

    In the girl's game, coach Ward substituted freely and liberally, as 10 of Graham's 12 players on the rosters made their way into the scorebook.  Graham won it's 8th straight game since Greensboro Grimsley beat them in the Graham Boosters/Don Amos-Mid Carolina Bank Holiday Basketball Tournament.
  
   Graham (14-1, 10-0) broke the game open on the strength of the bookend periods- In the 1st Graham outscored the Bulldogs 24-9 and in the 4th, they held Durham School of the Arts to one basket and outscored them 20-3. The final tally was 71-37.

   Beth Miller topped the scoring with 19 points.  Miller added 8 assists, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds.  Caroline Enoch addded a career-high 11 points and 6 rebounds.  Shelby Hall, Logan Apple, and Kiki Allen contributed 9 points each.  Hall grabbed 9 rebounds.  Courdne Miles had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 5 blocked shots.

   Attiana O'Neil led the Bulldogs with 14 points.  Princess Bethea added 9 points, while Lauren Kerns had 8.

  In the Boys action, Coach Williams also substituted freely and liberally.  Graham (9-7, 7-3) broke a 3 game losing streak to post an 86-58 victory.  Graham slowly built up steam, as they scored 19,12,24, and 29 points in the periods.  The Red Devils held the Bulldogs to 0 2nd quarter field goals as the led 31-21 at the half.   Graham broke the game open in the 4th quarter, connecting on 4 of 7 3 point attempts. 

   Graham was led by Blake Throneburg's 17 points.  Nolan Solis added 13 points and 6 rebounds, while Michael Wooten contributed 12 points.  Justin Cousin had 9 points, while Damien Wiley and Dominique Pass has 8 each.

   Sam Hogg led the Bulldogs with 21 points, while Lewis Miller added 14.
