Another Red Devil Signs

Graham pitcher Cody Dix has signed to play baseball for Division II UNC Pembroke. He becomes the 2nd Graham baseball player to sign. Earlier this month catcher Matt Roberts signed with The University of North Carolina. Graham's other starter, Ty Osborne, has yet to sign to play collegiately.
Dix was the No. 1 starter for the Red Devils last season, when the team posted a 22-2 record.
"That was one of my goals as soon as I was a freshman," Dix said of having a chance to play beyond high school. "I wanted to play college baseball and I strived to do that."
Dix is a 17-year-old left-hander. He received interest from an array of Division II programs.
Dix had an 8-0 record as a junior.
At 5-foot-10, he doesn't fit the profile as a power pitcher. But his velocity has been clocked in the mid-80s.
"That's excellent for his size," Graham coach Chad Holland said
