Boys Smash School Record
December 28, 2012
By Denis Vass of Graham High SchoolA couple weeks after tying the school record for total points in a game, and one day after a heart breaking overtime loss to Carrboro in the opening round of the Eastern Guilford Holiday Basketball Tournament, the Graham Red Devils (9-3) unleashed their frustrations of that loss upon Vandalia Christian and bombed away to a school-record 110 points enroute to a 110-75 win over the Vikings
Kendall Patterson banged home eight of the Red Devil's 15 three point baskets, leading all scorers with 29 points. Trent Torain added 18 points, while Troy Boden supplied 15.
Houston Miller led the Vikings with 20 points, T.C. Daniels 13, and Ethan Willis 12 for Vandalia Christian.
The girls suffered a gut-wrenching 49-45 overtime loss to host Eastern Guilford last night.
The Lady Devils will play for third place today at 4:00 against Western Alamance, while the boys will also play Western Alamance for 5th place at 2:30.
The next scheduled games are Friday January 4th at Providence Grove.
