Graham Teams Move Into Championship

By Denis Vass of Graham High SchoolThe Graham boys and girls both smashed their opponents tonight in the Don Amos Holday Classic to move into the finals tomorrow evening.
The girls hosted Roxboro Comminity School, and whitewashed the Bulldogs the entire first half until Carlee Garrett threw up a prayer at the halftime buzzer that found net. Graham led 41-2 enroute to a 65-11 smashing of the Bulldogs.
Kay Kay WIlson led all scorers with 18, While Jasmine Atkins added 11 and Sequoia Evans 13. The Lady Devils will face off tomorrow evenning in the championship game against conference foe Cummings who beat Western Alamance in the day's first game.
The Graham boys showed a lot of rust for not having played in a week, but once they warmed up, the Jaguars of Rivermill had no answer. Graham rolled to a 83-34 waxing of Rivermill, and will face Raleigh Heat in tomorrow's championship game. The Heat beat Western Alamance in the semi finals of the boys game.
Kendall Patterson led all scorers with 18 points, while Troy Bowden added 17, canning five three point buckets he Red Dvils continued their hot streak from downtown graham, banging home 12 3's tonight. Jessie Crawford led Rivermill with 11 points, with three 3's.
