Red Devils Pound Panthers

At Graham, the Red Devils (20-1, 12-1) jumped all over Panther pitcher Jake Manzulich, romping their way to a 10-1 victory to clinch the title of the Mid-State 2-A Conference Champions.
Ty Osborne pitched 5 stellar innings of 5-hit ball, surrendering only 1 run, while Matt Roberts came in and pitched the final 2 innings, allowing no hits while striking out two batters. Osborne threw 46 total pitches through 5 innings, walking none. The Red Devils scored all the runs they needed in the bottom of the 1st inning when catcher Matt Roberts smashed his 9th home run of the year on a 1-1 pitch over the left field fence to give Graham a 2-0 lead. Cody Dix scored ahead of Roberts, who had reached base on a walk.
Graham blew the game open with a 7-run outburst in the 3rd inning on only 3 hits. Graham had 2 hit batters and 2 walks, while the Panthers were shaky in the field, committing 2 errors.Seth Caison and Gerinki Coble both had 2-RBI doubles in the 3rd inning.
Seth Caison finished the night batting 3-for-4 with 2 RBI, while Matt Roberts finished 2-for-2, scoring 3 runs while banging in 2 runs. Geronki Coble hit 2-for-5 with 2 RBI.
Graham begins the state 2-A playoffs at home Friday.
