Training schedule for Oct. 10th-14th (2011)

Monday – Warm-up, stretch, form drills
Light abs (last of the season)
Tuesday – Metro # 4 at Western Guilford High School
4:10 – Bus leaves
4:25 – Arrival
Course walk when we get there.
5:30 (anticipated) – Boys race
6:00 (anticipated) – Girls race
Wednesday – Off. Don’t play soccer or do anything. It’s time to rest. We’re actually trying to win something next week and we need you in top form.
Thursday – Warm-up, stretch, form drills
30 minute recovery then 5 X 200 M with 200 M walk recovery.
Friday – Warm-up, stretch, form drills
Saturday – No organized practice, but it would be nice if you got in a 30 – 35 minute run.
Sunday – 48 hour rule. Do not run. Do not play soccer. Sit down and stay there. This is the optimal rest day so that we can maximize performance on Tuesday…when it matters!!!! So sit down and stay there.
