Also, coming back from a loss to to Lavoie and Silver the alternate Grimsley team of Mary Hamrick and Lauren Parko won the 5th bid for regionals.

In singles competition Mari Fujino from Grimsley defeated Astrid Pascua also from Grimsley to secure the 3rd and 4th spots for regionals. Pascua earlier in the day ran into the buzz saw from Page, Hannah Templeton, who won last years state tournament. Mari was eliminated in the semis as well by the Number 2 from Page in a hard fought battle. The alternate for singles from Grimsley, Madison Farrior pulled an awful first round in the  singles draw, getting Templeton from Page.

There are a total of 10 berths to regionals from the Metro conference. Grimsley won 5 of them, Page won 2 and 3 other schools each got 1.  These girls ought to be very proud!!!
