The Tigers jumped out early, as Schuyler County fumbled the opening kickoff on their own 5 yard line. Shelley quickly made them pay by scoring on a one yard plunge. The Tigers took a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The first half ended at 21-0, Tigers. The Rams made a little noise in the second half by scoring two touchdowns of their own in the third period. The Tigers Taft quickly answered their scores with a 73 yard touchdown run around left end. Shelley sealed the victory in the fourth quarter with a six yard scamper, ending the scoring at 35-14.
The Tigers travel to North Shelby for a rare Thursday night contest to end the regular season. With a victory, the Tigers can secure a trip to the post season. "Our kids must be focused, and ready to play," states head coach Brent Bondurant. "This is a big game." |
