Tigers Fall To Eagles
October 19, 2009 By Brent Bondurant of Scotland Co High School
Head Coach Brent Bondurant saw his Tigers fall to Knox County Friday night by the score of 19-12. "It was a battle of two evenly matched teams, and two very good athletes. The Tigers Cody Taft rushed for 224 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns, while Kox County's Keenan Gillespy ran for 150 yards and three scores. "They simply countered every score we had, plus one. Costly penalties, and breakdowns in our option defense cost us tonight," stated Bondurant. It was good game to watch I'm sure, even tougher to be on the short end of the score."
The Tigers must win out in their remaining two games to have any hopes of reaching the post season. The Tigers will once again face a "feature back" in the presence of Schuyler County's junior quarterback Tim Gorman. "He is their lunch ticket. We must limit his production, and make someone else carry the load if want to win this game."
The Tigers see their record fall to 4-4, and 1-4 in conference play. |
