The Lady Tigers started out the week with an away game at Novinger on 9/3. The Lady tigers went on to win the game 13-2 in 5 innings. Lister got the win on the mound. Some big hitters were Cali Holt going 2 for 4 and scoring 2 runs. Kelly Lister 2 for 4 and scoring 2 runs, and Loren Smith for 2 for 3 with a walk and scoring 2 runs.

The Lady Tigers ended the week with a 2nd Place finish at the Knox County Tournament on Saturday 9/5. They started out the day with South Shleby and won in 8 inning 5-4. Creek got the win on the mound. Kelly Lister came up big for the Lady Tigers going 3 for 4 with a single, double, and a 2 run home run in the top of the 7th to put the lady tigers on top 4-2.

The second game of the day was against North Shelby and the Lady Tigers won this game 8-1. Creek got her second win of the day on the mound. Some big hitters in this game were Loren Smith going 2 for 2 with a walk and scoring 2 runs and Megan Creek hit a double and scored 1 run for the tigers. The Lady Tigers improved thier record to 2-0 for the day and 5-1 overall.

After a 4 hour break we finally got to play the last game of the day. It was the Championship game against the very solid Kirksville JV. The Kirksville Tigers won the game 14-3 in 5 innings. Even though the score does not show it, the Lady Tigers played a very good game. Megan Creek had 2 walks and scored 2 runs for the tigers. Kelly Lister was 2 for 3 with a single and a double.

Overall, the Lady Tigers had a great week and we are very proud of them. They have improved thier record to 5-2 overall. Coming up this week we take on Schuyler County at home on Tuesday 9/8. Next week we start Conference, visiting Clark on Monday 9/14 and then a home game against Knox County on Tuesday 9/15. Come out and support your Lady Tiger Softball Teams.
