Scotland County vs. Highland

The Lady Tigers had their 1st home game Monday night, August 24th against the Highland Cougars. The Lady Tigers beat Highland 7-6. Megan Creek got the win on the mound with 5 strike outs and only allowing 1 walk. As a team the Lady Tigers scored 7 runs on 7 hits. Skyler Alderton hit a triple scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game 6-6. Kiley Frazier started off the bottom of the 7th for the lady tigers and reached 1st base by an error. Augusta Purvis then came up to bat and drew a walk, moving Frazier over to 2nd. Elizabeth Duzan then came up and layed down and bunt down the 1st base line. Duzan forced a bad throw to 1st base which allowed Frazier to score, giving the lady tigers the victory 7-6. Way to go ladies, keep up the good work. |
