Four Advance to the State Tournament!!

Pekin Advances Four to the State Tournament!!

            Pekin wrestlers advanced four of their six wrestlers from District competition to the State Tournament. A great crowd cheered on the Panthers at Eddyville, as Pekin took 3^rd place as a team and moved on Phillip Laux, Jacob Cooley, Zach Mosbey, and Darin Adam to wrestle at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Thursday, February 17^th.

            Class 1A matchups will begin at 9:00 a.m.

At 103 pounds: Phillip Laux will wrestle Brance Simms from Twin River Valley Bode

At 145 pounds: Jacob  Cooley will wrestle Colby Grothoff from South Hardin

At 215 pounds: Zach Mosbey will wrestle Ian Halliday from Saint Ansgar

At 285 pounds: Darin Adam will wrestle Adam Steger from Maquoketa Valley Delhi
