Home » Football News2nd HALF CLICK!September 10, 2011 By Redd Rider of Good Hope High SchoolGood Hope may have finally found some rhythm in the second half after getting blown out in the first 0-45 by Midfield. Things looked pretty rough for the Raiders, who had no answer for the Patriots attack in the first half. The game was different after the break. Aaron Lynn had a great game on special teams. Lynn had several decent kickoff returns. One for 41 yards that put Good Hope in Midfield's territory. With 7:29 to go in the third quarter, Sebastian Fendley capped off an eleven play drive with a 1 yard run for Good Hope's first touchdown. Alexis Martinez' PAT kick was blocked and the score was 6-45. At the 1:31 mark in the third, Zac Witcher intercepted a Patriot pass but Good Hope fumbled right after and Midfield scored again. Fendley took charge of the offense and found C.J. Ridgeway with a 49 yard touchdown pass. Fendley again found Ridgeway for a two point conversion. Score 14-52. For Midfield, Antoine Davis threw three touchdown passes in the first quarter. Two to Brandon Moss and one to Courtney Foy. Martez Gilmore also ran one in from the two. Gilmore ran another one for four yards and Foy ran one from the six. Lawrence Jacko did the kickin for the Patriots. He was four for six on PATs. One fake failed as well. Good Hope fumbled the ball twice and had one interception (from a blocked pass) that was ran back for a touchdown by Midfield's Joseph Murry. As yardage stats, etc. are provided, we will update this article. This writer is very encouraged by Good Hope's second half play! The Raiders may have lost the game but may have finally clicked! Look for good things to come from Good Hope 1-2 (0-2). Click Here for the schedule for the 2011 Good Hope Raiders Hope to see all the Raider Nation there! GO RAIDERS!
