The Good Hope Lady Raiders will have to fight their way through the loser bracket after dropping the first round game to Bibb County 0-5 on field 3 at Lagoon Park in the AHSAA 4A State Softball Tournament.

Cara Goodwin gave a solid performance in the circle with 13 stirkeouts and only allowing 4 hits.

The Lady Raiders could not provide any run support and made costly errors in the field to thwart the winner bracket dreams for Good Hope.

Alannah Henke singled but stranded in the 2nd inning and Maegan Sterling stranded as well after reaching on a walk.  Sterling also stranded on a walk in the 4th.

In the 5th, Kacy Thomas tried to start a rally with a single but stranded after being pushed to second by Darby Randolph's sacrifice.

Alannah Henke doubled in the 6th and stole third but was left on base.

The Lady Raiders have had many games this year with hot bats.  This was not one of them as they struggled offensively.

In the end, the blunders on defense caused the loss.

Good Hope will play American Christian at 5:30 pm on Field 4.
