The Lady Raiders got a stellar performance out of ace Cara Goodwin with 15 strikeouts but it wasn't enough to win the game as the Warriors outscored Good Hope 5-2.

Wilson got two runs in the first inning with Harlie Barkely scoring on Jennifer Schroeders homer.  The Warriors got two more in the fifth when Madison Daniel and Harlie Barkley both scored.  Daniel crossed the plate again in the seventh for the 5th run.

Good Hope struggled to find offense in the game.  Kayla Tillman singled to lead off the Lady Raiders in the bottom of the first and would score with a based loaded walk by Maegan Sterling.

Bailee Andrews walked as did Alannah Henke.  Darcie Wilson hit an rbi single that drove in Andrews.

The only other hit that the Lady Raiders had was another single by Tillman in the fifth.

Good Hope stranded 10 runners in the game.

The Lady Raiders will still have a shot at Montgomery when they play in the loser bracket final for a chance to play Wilson again for the 4A North Region Championship.  The next game is at 3:30 on field 1 with the championship at 5:00 pm.

Good Hope will have to win three more games today to win the Region Championship.  One more win assures a spot in Montgomery!
