Are you a senior who is not sure if you are ready for college? You can take College Survival Skills at Wentworth College this summer. This class is only $100 and is one credit hour. See Mrs. Nevels for more details.

Wentworth College is offering ACT Prep for high school juniors and seniors this summer. Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-2:00. The cost is only $50. See Mrs. Nevels for more details.


On Thursday, March 24, there will be a college representative from Central Methodist University here to visit with interested juniors and seniors.


Students who have failed a class 1st semester, need to see Mrs. Nevels about the possibility of going to summer school to earn their credit back.


9-11 grade students interested in summer school, pick up a summer school course guide and application from the Career Center. Personal Finance will be offered this summer for 10th-12th grade students.


The 2012 Star parents are asking students to submit drawings and ideas for the 2011 after-prom t-shirts. Ideas need to be submitted to the office before this Friday for consideration.


CAPPIES: Don't forget Sacred Heart's show this Saturday.


SCHOLARSHIPS:
• West Central Electric Scholarship: Must be mailed to the address on the application by March 25th.
• Elk's Legacy Award Scholarship: Must be mailed to the address on the application by March 31st.
• Missouri Insurance Scholarship: Must be mailed to the address on the application by March 31st.


SPRING PLAY AUDITIONS: Tuesday, March 22nd, from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 23rd, from 6:30-9:00 p.m. You only have to audition one of the days. The audition will consist of cold readings, so the only thing you need to prepare is a schedule of conflicts to bring to auditions. ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ARE WELCOME. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A THESPIAN!!!


The band and choir Pre-Contest concert is tomorrow night at LHS starting at 7:00 p.m.


Yearbooks are on sale until the end of March. Cost is $45. Buy at yearbookforever.com or pick up an order form in the office! This year's book is entitled "Lexington High School ReMix 2010" and is all about music and the songs of your lives!


MEETINGS:
• STUDENT COUNCIL: Meeting Wednesday morning at 7:30 a.m. in Mr. Caldwell's room.
• FCCLA: Meeting Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in room 118.
• VOLLEYBALL TEAM: Meeting Friday during Advisory in Coach Hahn's room. Please bring a schedule of your summer conflicts.


SPORTS:
• Varsity Track at UCM today starting at 1:00. Bus leaves at 11:10.
• JV/Varsity Baseball vs. Wellington. Home game today starting at 4:30.
• JV/Varsity Golf at Adam's Pointe today starting at 4:30. Bus leaves at 3:00.
• Spring sports fees are due and can be paid in the office. Fees must be paid prior to participation.
• JV and Varsity Boys Basketball players need to turn in their uniforms and practice gear to Coach Meyer as soon as possible.
• Attention Cheerleaders: All cheer equipment needs to be turned in to Coach Foree as soon as possible.


EARLY DISMISSMAL AT NOON TOMORROW (WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23RD).
