Students interested in participating in the Young Americans Workshop can pick up a registration form in the office. The cost is $57 and scholarships are available. Registration and scholarship forms need to be turned into the Career Center by October 19th. If you have additional questions, see Mrs. Pulverenti.

 

The Wednesday morning book group is reading Roland Smith's book "Peak". If you would like to join, see Mrs. Kintz for your copy of the book. We meet at 7:15 on Wednesday mornings.

 

A+ tutors please turn in your tutoring logs in today to the Career Center.

 

There will be a food drive at next Friday’s football game.  In conjunction we will have a competition between advisory classes.  Bring non-perishable food to your advisory teachers next week.  Mr. Roach will reward the advisory class that brings the most food.

 

Organizations

Any student council or class officers that would like to go to district student council Friday October 26th need to sign up in Mr. Caldwell's room by tomorrow morning.  We will be leaving LHS at 6:30am and be returning by 3:45pm.  

Student Council members that would like to order a t-shirt need to sign up and bring 15 dollars to Mr. Caldwell by today.

 

TOP Club will meet Tuesday at 3:50 in Room 102A.

 

Activities

There will be a meeting for Freshmen-Senior boys basketball players about the upcoming season today at 3:30 pm in Room 118.

 

There will be a meeting for students interested in wrestling today at 3:30 pm in the cafeteria.

 

Girls’ Tennis uniforms need to be turned into Coach Wolken by today.

 

Senior football players, cheerleaders, and band members need to have senior night information into Mrs. Wrisinger by Wednesday, October 17th.

 

Bell game t-shirts will be sold next week. They should be in next Wednesday and will be sold during lunch. There is a limited number so it is first come, first serve. They will be $13.00 a piece. The shirts are royal blue and the front says BRING HOME THE BELL! and the back lists the bell game history and the scores of each of the games.

 

Counselor’s Corner
A representative from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO will be here today during advisory.

A representative from the American College of Hair Design will be here during lunch on Tuesday, October 16.

Juniors and Seniors: There will be a college fair on Tuesday, October 30 from 1:30-3:00 in the LHS gym.
