Community Service Opportunities:

Active and Healthy Family Fun Night at LBS from 5-7:30 pm on Thursday, April 26. 

Food Power at LBS from 8:30-11:30 am on Thursday, May 3.

See Mrs. Pulverenti if you can help with either of these events.

 

Academic Team:  Please sign the sheet outside Mrs. McCrary's room indicating if you are planning to attend the banquet and the number of family who will be attending with you.  You need to have signed up by Monday, April 30. 

 

Seniors interested in helping with Baccalaureate please see Mrs. Pulverenti by Friday.

 

Prom servers need to meet in Mrs. Slusher’s room on Friday at 7:45 am.

 

Prom picture order forms can be picked up in the office.

 

It’s that time of year again to be thinking about if you want to participate in Mr. and Miss LHS.  Winners of Mr. and Miss LHS will receive: Preferred Parking with Marked Parking Sign, Entrance into Games for free, One Come late/Leave early per semester, One homework pass per semester, and $50.00 per winning team.  A team needs to consist of one boy and one girl.  No more than 10 teams can sign up.  Team sign ups will be on a first come first serve basis. Sign up by Friday with Mrs. Donovan.

 

Sign-up for Prom in the office. Cost is $15.00 for an individual or $25.00 a couple. Money must be paid at time of signing up to attend. Deadline to sign up for Prom is Thursday.

They'll make you laugh, they'll make you cry, they'll make you laugh until you cry.  Come see the LHS Spring Play, OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS on May 3rd and 4th at 7:30.  Tickets are $5 in advance and on sale now in the office or from any cast or crew member.


The Cappies Gala will be held on May 26th at Smith-Cotton High School.  ALL are invited to attend and support the theatre department, students involved in the shows and cappie critics should mark their calendars and plan on attending.  Nominations and tickets will be available on May 9th.

Cappies Critics voting will take place on May 8th at Smith-Cotton.  

 

Attention Readers Theatre Cast:  Money for your shoes is due to Miss Yung ASAP.

 

A+ Attendance Appeals are due to Mrs. Pulverenti by Friday, May 4th.

 

Project Graduation sign ups are now in the office.

 

End of Course Testing will be April 30-May 11. Please window this week to find out when you are taking the EOC Exams.

Thursday during Advisory, ITT Tech will be here during advisory to visit with interested juniors and seniors.

 

The dual credit coordinator will be here on Friday during advisory to talk with next year's juniors and seniors who are interested in taking Wentworth classes. Students must have a 3.0 to take Wentworth classes.

Wentworth course enrollment will be Wednesday, May 2 at 3:05 for summer and fall classes. Parents must come to sign students up.

 

Attention NHS members: next meeting is Tuesday, May 8th at 7:30am in Mrs. Himbury's room.

If you have a calculator that belongs to the math department, please return it.

 

Attention Seniors:  Graduation speech auditions May 9th immediately after school in Miss Yung's room.  To audition you need to prepare a typed 3-5 minute speech.  You will present it to an audition panel.  Any questions see Miss Yung or Mrs. McCrary.

 

MEETINGS:

  • FCA Meeting – Friday at 7:00 am

 

SPORTS:

  • Bill Hamann Track Meet tonight at 4:00 pm.  Senior night will begin at 3:45 pm.
  • Boys’ Tennis vs. Higginsville at 4:30 pm.
  • Baseball vs. Higginsville at 6:00 pm.
  • The following boys’ basketball players owe items to Coach Meyer: Michael Sunday and Jevon Williams.
  • The following wrestlers need to turn in singlets or owe money to Coach Wilkson: Cameron Lee, McKenzie Beck, Gavin Rice, and Tyler Tancos.
  • The following cheerleaders need to turn in their equipment to Mrs. Foree immediately: Kaylee Duvall, Kelsi Thee, Nikki Winkler, Sarah Hollingsworth, and Hana Locke.
  • The Lexington Medical Clinic is offering free sports physicals today and May 8 from 3-6:00 pm.  Stop by the Career Center to pick up a physical form. The History Form must be filled out before arriving to the clinic.  See Mrs. Pulverenti if you have questions.
  • Varsity Football please turn in your summer school weights enrollment papers to Mrs. Nevels or Mrs. Pulverenti ASAP. The deadline is this Friday.
  • Volleyball players: If Coach Hahn gave you a Higginsville Summer League release form please return it asap in order for the team to get a spot in the league.
