Warrior Girls 2nd in Indoor Triangular

The SHS Girls’ Track and Field team placed second in an indoor triangular at Westwood Tuesday. Moline won the event with 75 points, followed by the Golden Warriors with 60, and Alleman with 10.
Senior Alexis Strong won both the 200 (29.10) and 400 (1:08.98) meter dashes for SHS. Ivy Peterson (Pole Vault, 8-3), Ashley Tira (60 meters, 10.75) and Charli Wike (800, 2:36.79) also recorded individual wins for Sterling.
The Golden Warriors 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams were also victorious.
Next Up: The Golden Warriors compete in the NIB-12 Indoor Championships Saturday (3/16) at Westwood.
