Interone Earns Another State Medal

SHS Senior Keanu Interone earned a state medal in the 100 breaststroke for the second straight year with a fifth place finish at the IHSA state finals Saturday at New Trier High School.
After breaking his own school record (set at sectionals last week) in Friday’s preliminaries with an effort of 56.84, he lowered the record even more Saturday, clocking in at 56.76. 55.86 was the state championship time.
Last year, Interone earned a second place medal with a time of 57.55.
