For the second straight year, sophomore Isaac Anderson and senior Curtis Lilly will represent SHS at the IHSA State Wrestling Meet at the University of Illinois. Both earned their spots at state competing at the Rochelle 2A Sectional Saturday.
Anderson advanced with a fourth place finish at 113. Lilly, who won the sectional in Sterling last year, had to settle for a state-qualifying second place finish this year.
Senior Josh Villarreal just missed out a spot at state with a fifth place finish at 195. He does head to state as an alternate.
Next Up: Anderson and Lilly begin competition at state Thursday.
