Warriors Pound Princeton 70-3

After starting out the season 0-6, the SHS Wrestling team is back at the break-even mark (9-9) after a 70-3 drubbing of Princeton Tuesday in Princeton.

Of the nine contested matches, Sterling won eight of them, four of them by fall. Jaden Urrutia (106), Bryant Lilly (160), Canaan Gillihan (182) and Will Canales (220) all recorded pins.

Sterling’s four other contested victories came from Josh Villarreal (tech fall @ 195), John Hardy (10-1 @ 126), Treavon Barron (15-9 @ 170), and Nick Terronez (9-1 @ 145).

Next Up:  The Golden Warriors take a six duel winning streak into Wednesday night’s showdown with Rock Falls at Musgrove Fieldhouse.  Sterling lost at Rock Falls last season.
