Stephanie Kester paced SHS with 13 points and three 3-pointers, giving her 100 3’s for her career, tying her with Amee Binder and Lauren Hernandez for second in school history. Niki Rivera holds the record with 122.
Kaitlyn Bauer had a strong all-around game for the Warriors with 12 points, seven steals, and six rebounds. Kiarra Harris scored just five points, but dished out six assists, and grabbed five rebounds.
Sterling’s defense held Genseo to 28% shooting and forced 23 turnovers.
Sterling (12-11, 6-0) holds on to first place in the conference, one game in front of Ottawa (5-1). Ottawa won 45-32 at LP Tuesday.
On the sophomore level, Sterling recorded a 36-32 victory.
Next Up: The Golden Warriors host Dixon Friday and Yorkville Saturday.
