The SHS Boys’ Swimming and Diving team swept a triangular with Morrison and Rockford-Christian Tuesday in Morrison.  The Golden Warriors won seven events and tallied 133 points.  Morrison (79) was second and RC (78) was third.


The quartet of Sam Wike, Keanu Interone, Keaton Dir and Andrew Blackburn started and ended the meet with wins for SHS.  The four claimed the meet-opening 200 medley relay in a time of 1:47.74, then teamed up to end the festivities with a win in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:37.32.


SHS went 1-2 in the 200 individual medley, with Dir taking first (2:08.97), and Brandon Pillars second (2:26.07).


Dir and Wike went 1-2 in the 100 back, with Dir touching first (1:03.75), and Wike a close second (1:04.69).


Interone recorded individual wins in the 100 fly (56.47), and 500 free (5:23.55).  Blake Ruiz was victorious for SHS in the 100 breast (1:12.82).


On the JV level, Sterling also took first place with 139 points, followed by Morison (58) and RC (33).


Next Up: The Golden Warriors are on the road for another triangular Thursday (1/10) against Harlem and Woodstock-North in Machesney Park.
