After three conference games, the SHS Girls’ Basketball team is the only unbeaten team left in the NIB-12 West.  In a battle of the last two league unbeatens, the Golden Warriors (6-3, 3-0) rallied from a five point halftime deficit to knock off Ottawa (5-4, 2-1) 55-52 Tuesday at Musgrove Fieldhouse.

Stephanie Kester and Kiarra Harris proved to be a solid one-two punch for the Golden Warriors.  Kester tallied 15 points (6-10 fg) including a trio of 3 pointers.  Harris had 10 points, nine rebounds and four assists.  Gabby Sandoval contributed a career-high nine points and was 5-7 from the free throw line.

Next Up:  The Golden Warriors begin play in the Sterling Shootout Friday (12/14) at 7:45 p.m. at Musgrove Fieldhouse against state-power Palatine-Fremd.  Saturday the Warriors take on Lombard-Montini (10:00 a.m.) and Peoria-Richwoods (2:30 p.m.).  SHS concludes play in the tournament December 22 against Moline (10:00 a.m.) and Hononegah (4:15 p.m.)
