Warriors Win at Geneseo

Sterling High SchoolThe SHS Girls’ Basketball team opened NIB-12 West play with a 38-27 win at Geneseo Friday.
Behind four 3-pointers from Stephanie Kester in the first half, the Golden Warriors raced to a 23-8 lead at halftime. SHS led 30-12 early in the third quarter before Geneseo started a comeback. The Lady Leafs were never able to close to deficit under 10 points however.
Kester paced SHS with 14 points. Kaitlyn Bauer added nine points. Kiarra Harris scored just five points, but had four rebounds and six steals.
Next Up: The Golden Warriors travel to Dixon next Friday (12/7) for another conference road test.
