Novice Speech 7th at Rochelle

On Saturday, November 17, The SHS Speech Team competed in the Rochelle High School Novice meet. This meet is for all first year Speech competitors at the high school level. Sterling took 7 students competing in 7 of the 14 IHSA events for a total of 9 entries overall. Earning a Team Ranking of 7th the following SHS students placed in 4 events.

This was a competitive tournament with 12 schools competing. By comparison some large suburban schools had as many as 42 entries.
