Warriors End Season at State

Sterling High SchoolSHS Freshman Shannon Long and junior Charli Wike saw their swimming and diving seasons come to an end on the first day of competition at the IHSA state finals as neither competitor was able to move paced preliminaries.
In the diving competition, Long recorded an 11-dive score of 105.95, placing 47th out of 48.
Wike placed 21st out of 52 in the 100 breast with a time of 1:06.80 – some 2 seconds faster than her sectional time. In the 200 individual medley, Wike touched in 2:14.83 – 34th place out of 35.
