Warriors 4th at Freeport Invite

The SHS Girls’ Swimming team placed fourth at Freeport Invitational Saturday with 178 points.  Metea Valley was a runaway winner with 473.

Junior Charli Wike was Sterling’s lone winner, taking the 100 breast in a time of 1:10.58.  Senior Abbie Brenner was second in the 500 freestyle (5:44.22) and third in the 100 butterfly (1:08.88).  Wike also added a second place finish in the 200 individual medley (2:20.18).

Next Up:  The Water Warriors travel to Rockford for a duel with Boylan Tuesday (9/25), before heading back to Rockford Saturday for the Jefferson Invitational.
