Warriors 10th at Rock River Run

The SHS Girls’ Cross Country team ran to a 10^th place finish in the 14-team Rock River Run held Saturday at Hoover Park in Sterling.  Geneva won the team title with 36 points.  Kaneland was second with 65.  The Warriors tallied 262.

Mercedez Sanchez completed the three mile course in an SHS best 19:44 – good enough for 19^th place overall.  Following Sanchez for the Warriors were Alayna Wolfe (41^st), Jazmin Lopez (57^th), Emily Crossley (65^th), and Sarah Gunderson (80^th).

Next Up: The Warriors host Moline, Rock Island and United Township for a quadrangular Tuesday (9/25) at Hoover Park.  Action begins at 4:30 p.m.  The Warriors run at the Peoria Invite Saturday at Detweiller Park.
