Alex Rodriguez Places Fourth at State

Sterling High SchoolThis past Friday and Saturday, the SHS Speech Team had two State Qualifiers compete in the IHSA Individual Events (Speech) State competition at the Peoria Civic Center.
Alex Rodriguez advanced to the Finals Round of Humorous Interpretation placing 4th in the State. Alex is a Senior and the 2011-12 Speech Team Captain.
Hannah Matheney, performing in Poetry Reading, performed well but missed the cut to the final round. Hannah is a Junior and is already looking forward to next year.
Both students represented SHS well at State.
