Matheney, Rodriguez Advance to Speech State Finals

On Saturday, February 11, the SHS Speech Team competed in 11 out of 14 events in the IHSA Sectional meet at Rochelle where the team placed 8th overall.  Four events qualified for the final round where the top 3 in each event advance. Two events will advance to the State competition in Peoria, February 17 & 18.

    Hannah Matheney – 2nd

Placing in Finals but not advancing;
• Dramatic Duet Acting •
    Karina Olivas & Hunter Wolfe – 4th
• Impromptu Speaking •
    Zachary Woessner – 6th
