NSCAA Advanced National Diploma; USSF D National License; NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma; 2011 Ohio Private Coach of the Year; 2011 MVSSCA Coach of the Year; 2011 Regional Champions; 2011 & 2012 District Champions, 2012 GGCL Champions.  Overall record: 28-10-4.

Fourth year at Alter High School—4 years as an Assistant Coach at Bishop-Fenwick (2008 DII State Champions), current staff coach at CUP, previous experience as a trainer/coach for Warren County Soccer Club, Cincinnati Futbol Academy and Metro FC.  Played high school soccer at Revere in Akron, Ohio and club soccer at Everest FC.

BS in Political Science from Miami University of Ohio; married to Adrienne Iriart.

2009 Ohio Assistant Coach of the Year; 2011, 2009, 2006 MWSSCA Assistant Coach of the Year; helped guide Lady Knights to State Runner-Up in 2011, State Semi-Finals in 2011, 2 Regional Titles, 6 District Titles and 3 GGCL Championships.

13th year at Alter High School.  Coached one All-American, 10 All-State, and 9 All-Region players.

2011, 2012 JV Alter Women’s Soccer Head Coach/Goalkeeper Coach; 2009-2010 Trotwood-Madison Head Girl’s Soccer Coach (school records for ‘Most Wins in a Season’ in league play and all-time); 2 year Varsity Goalkeeper for Carroll High School (All-Area Honors both years); club Goalkeeper for Miami University of Ohio; coached over 70 girl’s soccer teams since 1995 in BSA, CYO and club (ISC Storm and FC Bellbrook). 

Fourth year at Alter High School.  15 years experience coaching select and AAU basketball.  Married to Ann Bockrath and has five children: Lauren (Alter 2007), Chris (Alter 2010), Allison (Alter 2012), Kara (Alter 2014) and Emma (Alter 2015).

About the Academy:

The Alter Women’s Soccer Team is hosting its second annual advanced training clinic open to all middle school age girls (grades 6-8) and any incoming Alter freshman.  The academy is an advanced training clinic for the dedicated soccer player.  

Featuring the Lady Knights, attendees can learn directly from the players that earned a trip to the State Semi-Finals in 2013 and 2011, won the Greater Girl’s Cincinnati League in 2012 and won the District Championship three years in a row.

The camp will be held on Alter’s new turf field and will be run by the women’s coaching staff with a player-to-coach ratio of 3:1, ensuring each player is getting the proper attention they deserve.  Players can expect to improve their technical abilities and tactical understanding of the game.  Additionally, attendees will also work on their speed and conditioning to introduce them to the physical demands of playing at the next level.  goalkeepers will receive individual and specialized instruction.  

Space is limited to the first 50 applicants.  Register as soon as possible to reserve your spot at this year’s academy.

*Applicants will be notified via email if they have have been accepted into the academy.  The first 45 applicants will be automatically accepted.  No other criteria will be used to determine participation.  Event is open to females who are entering the sixth through eighth grades in the 2013/2014 school year only.  Applicants not accepted upon intial application will be placed on a waiting list and will be contacted if any open spots are made available.  Refunds will only be issued in emergency situations only.  Any applicant who has not submitted her Emergency Contact and Waiver of Liability Forms by June 7th, 2013 will not be allowed to participate and will not be issued a refund.  Fore more information, visit
