Emma Bockrath scored a game-high 14 points and Alter overcame an 8-point halftime deficit to defeat Toledo rogers 50-47 in a girls high school basketball Division II state semifinal on Thursday at Columbus.

Alter (29-0) will seek to complete its perfect season in Saturday’s 10:45 a.m. championship game at Ohio State University’s Schottenstein Center. The Knights will play the Millersburg West Holmes/Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary winner for the title. That D-II state semifinal started at 3 p.m. also on Thursday.

Alter trailed 15-9 after the first quarter and 30-22 at the break. The Knights went ahead for good early in the fourth period on Maddie Bazelak’s layup. Hayley Combs bucket with eight second left accounted for the final score.

Bazelak added nine points and eight rebounds. Braxtin Miller added eight points for the Knights.

Sasha Dailey led Rogers (24-5) with 10 points.
