Alter GBB vs. Xenia

Alter faced the Buccaneers from Xenia on Dec. 13 in a home matchup.  Alter got off to an 8-5 advantage and held a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.  Play was close in the second quarter with Alter holding a 24-15 lead at halftime.  Alter went on a 6-0 run to start the second half and gained a 30-15 lead early in the 3rd quarter.  Xenia then went on a 10-2 run to get within 32-35 but Alter finished the quarter strong with a 41-29 lead going into the 4th quarter.  Alter controlled the fourth quarter and came away with the 59-41 victory.

Leading the way was Emma Bockrath with 23 points, 7 steals, and 6 assists, Kara Bockrath added 13 points, and Hayley Combs added 11 points.

In the JV contest, Alter won the game 51-36.  Leading the way was Melissa Beach with 9 points and Kristen Petrosky with 8 points.
