Rose-Hulman Wins Sixth HCAC Men's All-Sports Trophy

GREENWOOD, IN –Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology won the 2013-14 Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s All-Sports Trophy. The Engineers earned 75.0
points during the academic year to claim the men’s all-sports trophy. It is the
Engineers sixth overall men’s trophy as a member of the HCAC.
Rose-Hulman captured first place in football, basketball, and indoor and outdoor
track and field during the year. RHIT posted a second place finish in cross
country, soccer, and tennis.
Hanover and Franklin finished in second with 52.0 points and Manchester University
finished fourth in the men’s all-sports race with 47.7 points. Defiance College
finished fifth with 47.0 points and was followed by Transylvania University with
44.7 points. Anderson University (40.8 points), College of Mount St. Joseph (39.2),
Earlham College (33.2), and Bluffton University (29.5) rounded out the standings.
The award has been handed out to the most successful men’s athletic department in
the conference since 1988 when the conference was known as the Indiana Collegiate
