RICHMOND, Ind. — The Earlham College baseball team dropped a 7-6 decision on
Wednesday to Adrian College in Randal R. Sadler Stadium.

The Bulldogs (9-5) scored five runs over their last two innings to post the comeback
victory.

Earlham began the afternoon with an early led when Ted Williams knocked in a run in
the first inning on a ground out.

Adrian tied the game with a run in the third, but the Quakers answered with three
runs in the bottom of the inning.

Ethan Bailey had a run-scoring single, which was followed by RBI ground out by Alex
Ariovits. A walk with the bases loaded to Eric Elkus ended the rally and made it
4-1.

After the Bulldogs added another run in the fourth, the Quakers scored twice in the
fifth. Ted Williams homered to start the inning and Elkus hit a sacrifice fly to put
the Quakers on top 6-2.

Kyle Agius started on the mound for the Quakers and worked four innings and gave up
two runs on four hits.

Bryce Rainey tossed the next three innings as he held the Bulldogs scoreless without
surrendering a hit. T.J. Ilhardt, Matt Brankle, T.J. Plummer (0-3) and Adam Warning
worked the final two innings for the Quakers.

Thomas Rea led the Quakers with two hits.

The Quakers (10-5) face Franklin College on Friday in the opener of the weekend
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in Sadler Stadium. The contest starts at 4
p.m.
