Baseball Hitter - Scott Windler, Franklin College

Franklin College's Scott Windler (Lafayette, Ind./Central Catholic) led the
Grizzlies to a 3-1 record during the week and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Hitter of the Week.  The senior outfielder
finished 8-of-17 (.471) at the plate with seven runs scored, three doubles, two home
runs, three RBI, and three stolen bases as the Grizzlies beat Wabash and took two
out of three games against Mount St. Joseph.  Windler hit a game-tying two-run home
run with two outs in the ninth inning in FC's 8-6 win over Wabash Tuesday.  The
Lafayette, Indiana native posted a slugging percentage of 1.000 and an on-base
percentage of .550 during the four-game span.  Franklin (11-5, 2-1 HCAC) will face
Spalding and Earlham on the road this week.

Baseball Pitcher - Andrew Stull, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Rose-Hulman's Andrew Stull (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake) tossed a complete game
three-hit shutout to open RHIT's series against Bluffton Friday and has been named
the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week.  The
sophomore allowed just three hits, including one after the third inning, with three
strikeouts in the 12-0 win. Rose-Hulman (8-4, 3-0 HCAC) will play host to Hanover
this weekend.

Softball Hitter - Macy Davis-Ferrall, Defiance College

Defiance College's Macy Davis-Ferrall (St. Marys, Ohio/Memorial) was nearly perfect
at the plate against Rose-Hulman and has been named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.  The senior third baseman finished
the week 5-for-6 (.833) with three runs scored, a home run, a double, and a RBI as
the Jackets lost two games to the Engineers. Ferrall also posted a 1.500 slugging
percentage and a .857 on-base percentage during the two game series.  Defiance (3-6,
0-2 HCAC) is scheduled to face Adrian, Hanover, and Denison this week.

Softball Pitcher - Hannah Belvo, Anderson University

Anderson University's Hannah Belvo (Camden, Ohio/Preble Shawnee) tossed the third
no-hitter in AU history last week and has been named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.  The sophomore tossed the
no-hitter in a 4-1 win over Wisconsin-Stout, striking out one in the seven innings
of work.  Belvo also tossed a complete-game shutout in a 4-0 win over Benedictine,
allowing four hits in seven innings.  For the week, the sophomore went 2-0 with a
1.84 ERA in three outings.  Anderson (7-2, 0-0 HCAC) will face Alma prior to opening
HCAC play against Mount St. Joseph and Franklin this weekend.

Men's Tennis - Evan Pierle, Franklin College

Franklin College's Evan Pierle (Indianapolis, Ind./Perry Meridian) led the Grizzlies
to a 6-3 win over Mount St. Joseph and has been named the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week.  The junior dropped only one
game in his two wins, earning an 8-0 triumph at No. 3 doubles and a 6-1, 6-0 victory
at No. 4 singles as the Grizzlies evened its conference record at 1-1.  Franklin
(1-3, 1-1 HCAC) will face Central State, Hartwick, and Nebraska Wesleyan in
non-league play this week.

Men's Golf - Matt Stiens, College of Mount St. Joseph

College of Mount St. Joseph's Matt Stiens (Cincinnati, Ohio/La Salle) earned
medalist honors at the College of Mount St. Joseph Invitational over the weekend and
has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the
Week.  The senior golfer fired rounds of 74 and 77 to tie for first place after
36-holes and then won a playoff to claim the top individual spot.  Mount St. Joseph
placed second in the team standings.

Men's Track Athlete - Joe Davis, Defiance College

Defiance College's Joe Davis (Ontario, Ohio/H.S.) earned a pair of first place
finishes at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.  The senior
won the 1,500-meters with a time of 4:01.64 and was a member of the first place
1,600-meter relay team (3:24.32).  Both performances are first in the HCAC this
spring and rank among the top 21 in NCAA Division III.  Davis also earned a second
place finish in the 800-meters (1:57.98) at the meet.

Men's Field Athlete - Austin Schulthies, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology

Rose-Hulman's Austin Schulthies (Dubois, Ind./Northeast Dubois) won three events at
the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational Saturday and has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.  The junior
captured top honors in the javelin (174'0"), long jump (21' 10.25"), and high jump
(6' 1.25") to lead the Engineers to the team title.

Women's Track Athlete - Micah Wilson, Defiance College

Defiance College's Micah Wilson (Mims, Fla./Astronaut) won two events to lead the
Jackets to a team title at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational Saturday and has
been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track
Athlete of the Week.  The freshman won the 100-meter and 200-meters dashes at the
meet.  Wilson's time of 25.93 in the 200-meters currently is the fastest in the HCAC
and the 10th fastest time in NCAA Division III this spring.

Women's Field Athlete - Margaret Sarfino, Defiance College

Defiance College's Margaret Sarfino (Dayton, Ohio/Kettering Fairmont) turned in a
record breaking performance in the triple jump at the Rose-Hulman Early Bird
Invitational and has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's
Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.  The freshman dominated the triple jump with a
winning mark of 11.04 meters, earning first place by over a full meter.  The effort
smashed the DC school record and is currently a top 10 mark in NCAA Division III
this outdoor season.
